About the Role
Morphosis Business Services implements and builds ERP solutions on ERPNext and the Frappe Framework — for healthcare and education institutions, and for businesses running HRMS, CRM and accounting on ERPNext.
You will own implementations end to end and extend them in code: understanding how an organisation actually runs — a hospital’s patient flow, a school’s academic year, a company’s payroll cycle — configuring ERPNext to match, and writing the Python and JavaScript the standard modules do not cover. This is a pure Frappe stack, implementation-led and client-facing; there is no other backend stack here.
Key Responsibilities
- Own implementations end to end — requirement gathering with client stakeholders, configuration, UAT, training, go-live and handover.
- Configure ERPNext modules to client processes; migrate data from spreadsheets or legacy systems and reconcile before cutover.
- Build custom Frappe apps and DocTypes where the standard modules do not cover a client requirement.
- Develop dashboards, Print Formats, Query Reports and Script Reports for operational, statutory and management reporting.
- Implement Workflows, Notifications and Role Permissions that mirror the client’s approval hierarchy.
- Customize ERPNext Website, Webshop, Web Forms and customer/user portals.
- Build integrations — Meta WhatsApp Cloud API and template messaging, REST APIs and webhooks, payment gateways, biometric and RFID attendance devices.
- Deploy and maintain sites with Frappe Bench on Ubuntu / AWS; run version upgrades, patches and backups without disrupting live operations.
- Provide production support and root-cause analysis through client peak periods, with documented, version-controlled work.
ERPNext / Frappe Module Experience
ERPNext v15 / v16. Depth in one or two of these with the willingness to pick up the rest is what we are looking for.
- HRMS — Attendance, Payroll, Salary Slip, Leave Management, Shift Management, Overtime, Comp-Off, Employee Lifecycle.
- Healthcare — Patient, Practitioner, Appointment, Encounter, Healthcare Reports and Automation.
- Education — Student Management, Academic Programs, Fee Management, Attendance and Reporting.
- CRM — Lead Management, Opportunity Tracking, Customer Management and Workflow Automation.
- Accounts — Invoicing, receivables and payables, journals, expenses and period closing.
Technical Skills
- Backend: Python, Frappe ORM and Document API, hooks.py, Server Scripts, document lifecycle (validate / on_submit / on_cancel), background and scheduled jobs, Jinja2
- APIs: Frappe REST API, custom whitelisted methods, webhooks, token and key-based authentication, third-party APIs
- Frontend: JavaScript (ES6), Client Scripts, Vue.js / Frappe UI, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery, Frappe Charts
- Customization: Custom Fields, Customize Form, Property Setter, child tables, naming series, Web Forms, Website Theme, Data Import, patches and fixtures
- Database: MariaDB / MySQL, SQL query writing and optimisation; PostgreSQL awareness
- Cloud & DevOps: Frappe Bench (new-site, migrate, backup, restore, build), Ubuntu / Linux, AWS EC2, Nginx, Supervisor, Redis, Docker, Git / GitHub, CI/CD
Good to Have
- Hospital or Education system experience — HIS, SIS or similar — including on a non-Frappe stack
- Multi-site or multi-tenant Frappe hosting, or Frappe Cloud
- Contributions to Frappe / ERPNext open-source repositories
- ERPNext or Frappe certification — or willingness to certify within 3–6 months, which we fund
What We Look For
- You can sit with a non-technical client user, understand a process nobody has written down, and turn it into a configuration or a feature.
- You reach for standard configuration before writing a custom app, know when the standard module will not stretch, and read framework source when the documentation runs out.
- You plan releases and cutovers around the client’s operating calendar, and document what you customized.
- You handle patient, student and employee data carefully — correct permissions, no shortcuts on privacy.
What You Get
- Ownership of complete ERP deployments rather than tickets from someone else’s backlog.
- Range across healthcare, education and HR domains on a single framework.
- Funded certification, and direct access to the people making product and delivery decisions
